Our Vision
TO BE AN INDISPENSABLE SOURCE FOR THE SUPPORT OF MOUNTAIN GUIDES, INSTRUCTORS, GUIDE SERVICES, AND GUIDE SERVICE SUPPORT STAFF, WHILE ALSO INFLUENCING AND SHAPING THE OUTDOOR INDUSTRY OF WASHINGTON STATE

Because a strong and connected guiding community benefits everyone through professional recognition, healthy working conditions, and a vibrant local outdoor culture.
How
Advocacy: Be a strong unified voice with government land managers, partners, and the public.
Resources: Education and resources related to our craft.
Practical benefits: Membership directed group benefits. The WMGA will research the viability of providing healthcare, memberships, discounts, collective buying power, permits and human resources, and will offer feasible benefits as determined by the financial resources of the organization and the board.
Community: Establish a culture of shared knowledge through events, networking, and mentorship.
Culture: Celebrate the legacy of guiding, instructing, and operating unique to the mountains of the PNW.
Inclusive Scope: We want to establish a diverse community of guides, instructors, course leaders, guide services and support staff, at every stage of each individual’s career.
What
By joining the WMGA and participating as a supporting or voting member, your annual financial support will sustain the organization. Members will be able to utilize and benefit from our events and resources. If eligible, members can run for a an elected Board of Directors seat to shape the future of mountain guiding in our region.
